This article explains how to register a passkey (biometric authentication) in the bitcastle app.
A passkey can be registered from the settings screen within the bitcastle app.
Please follow the steps below.
📱 How to Register a Passkey
1. Log in to the bitcastle app.
2. Tap the profile icon and select Settings.
3. Tap Security.
4. Select Passkey (Biometric Authentication) and add a new device.
5. An email with the following subject will be sent to your registered email address. Check the verification code and enter it.
Email Subject: 【bitcastle】Passkey Creation Request
6. You will be prompted to log in using biometric authentication. Complete the login process. (The method may vary depending on your device.)
7. Once the message ""Authentication method has been added"" is displayed, the passkey registration is complete.
❗ If You Are Unable to Register a Passkey
If passkey registration fails, the following causes may apply:
・You are using a device that does not meet the recommended system requirements
・Face ID is not enabled for the bitcastle app (iOS devices only)
🔧 Troubleshooting (Please Try in Order)
1. Update your environment
・Update your device, browser, and the bitcastle app to the latest versions.
・For Android devices, please update Google Play Services:
・Go to Settings > Apps > All apps
・Select Google Play Services
・Tap App details and update
2. Check your network connection
・If using Wi-Fi: try turning it off and on
・If using mobile data: try again in an area with a stable connection
3. Reinstall the app
・If the issue persists, please try reinstalling the bitcastle app
