This article explains what to do if you see the message “The two-factor authentication code is incorrect.”
🕓 1. Check the Code Validity Period
The 6-digit 2FA code is automatically refreshed every 30 seconds for security reasons.
Please make sure to enter the code within the valid time period.
・Check the circular timer displayed next to the code.
・Entering the code right as the numbers change may help ensure a smoother authentication process.
🔄 2. Restart the Authentication App
Completely close your 2FA app (e.g., Google Authenticator) and reopen it, then try entering the newly generated code.
🕰️ 3. Check and Sync Your Smartphone’s Time Settings
In some cases, an incorrect system time on your smartphone may cause the authentication code to be rejected.
Please set your device time to automatic by following the steps below:
📱 iOS
1.Open the Settings app.
2.Tap General.
3.Select Date & Time and turn on Set Automatically.
📱 Android
1.Open the Settings app.
2.Tap System.
3.Select Date & Time.
4.Enable one of the following options:
・Android 9: Automatic date & time
・Android 10 or later: Use network-provided time
⏱️ Sync Time in the Google Authenticator App
1.Open the Google Authenticator app.
2.Tap the menu icon in the top-right corner and select Settings > Time correction for codes.
3.Tap Sync now.
✅ Once synchronization is complete, any time discrepancy will be corrected and you should be able to log in successfully.
This process adjusts only the time within the Google Authenticator app and does not affect your device’s system time.
