This article explains how to reconfigure Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using your 16-digit setup key.
💻 Two-Factor Authentication (PC Version App)
1.Open the installed Two-Factor Authentication app (Google Authenticator).
2.Click the pen (edit) icon.
3.Select the “+” icon, then choose “Manual entry”.
4.Enter the following information and click “OK”:
・Issuer: The email address registered to your bitcastle account
・Secret: Your 16-digit setup key
5.A 6-digit numeric code will be displayed in the authentication app.
This completes the reconfiguration of your 2FA verification code.
💡 When prompted to enter a two-factor authentication code during login, please enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app.
📱 Two-Factor Authentication (Mobile App)
1.Open the installed Two-Factor Authentication app (Google Authenticator).
2.Tap the “+” icon at the bottom of the screen and select “Enter a setup key”.
3.Enter the following information and tap “Add”:
・Account name: The email address registered to your bitcastle account
・Key: Your 16-digit setup key
※Please keep Key type set to the default option: Time-based
A 6-digit numeric code will be displayed in the authentication app.
4.This completes the reconfiguration of your 2FA verification code.
💡 When prompted to enter a two-factor authentication code during login, please enter the 6-digit code displayed in the app.
⚠️ Important Notes
・The 6-digit authentication code automatically refreshes every 30 seconds.
・If the code is not entered within 30 seconds, an “Invalid authentication code” message may appear.
・In that case, please enter the next newly generated 6-digit code.
